Sportsman’s Grille

Roasted ribs with sliced tomatoes and potatoes

As a Nashville restaurant staple for more than 20 years, Sportsman’s Grille serves a variety of Southern American dishes like hand-breaded catfish, smoked ribs, and barbecue on Cajun cornbread. There is a full-service bar with liquors, wines, and beers, as well as televisions throughout the restaurant for watching sporting events.

Kay Bob’s Grill & Ale

With an owner who was born in Tehran, Iran, healthy food joint Kay Bob’s Grill & Ale features a blend of Persian- and Southern-influenced foods that are made using Persian-style grilling. The restaurant also offers vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free menu items and uses all-natural meats for its flatbread sandwiches. The restaurant also makes fresh sauces like spicy mango and cucumber, which top its dishes. There are 25 craft beers on tap, which helps in attracting local Vanderbilt students and other Hillsboro Village residents.

The Villager Tavern

More than just a place to grab a drink, The Villager Tavern offers an award-winning beef po’ boy. There are also nine beers on tap, and plenty of things to do; play foosball or darts, or jam out to the music on the kicking jukebox.

Cabana

With a swanky, romantic atmosphere, Cabana is an upscale restaurant that lets you enjoy your meal in semi-private booths. Each booth has its own television, pillows, and music player hook up. From lobster brie mac and cheese to sweet tea-smoked chicken, the restaurant features Southern comfort cuisine and a vast drink menu that includes draft and bottled beers, wine and a variety of martinis.

J. Christopher’s

Serving breakfast, brunch, and lunch daily, J. Christopher’s features traditional, healthy menu items and signature items in a comfortable environment. There are omelets, salads, burgers, skillet creations and gourmet coffee drinks from which to choose. You’ll also find skillet dishes like turkey and avocado, blueberry crunchcakes, grilled quesadillas, and eggs Christopher, which is a twist on the classic eggs benedict.

Pizza Perfect

In business since 1983, Pizza Perfect prepares all of its menu items by hand, from scratch, and bakes them to order in gas-fired ovens. The restaurant makes fresh dough daily that has no preservatives. You can order handmade pizzas, pasta, or sub sandwiches, and there are also gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options.

McDougal’s Chicken Fingers & Wings

Fried chicken

If you’re in the mood for chicken fingers, McDougal’s Chicken Fingers & Wings serves theirs fresh, marinated, and cooked to order. The chicken fingers basket is the restaurant’s most famous item, and each basket comes with hand-cut fries and Tennessee toast. You can also order chicken wings or sandwiches.
