On June 24, New York City celebrated Pride, a parade to commemorate the Stonewall Riots of 1969 and to celebrate the LGBTQ community.

“Defiantly Different,” the theme of the 2018 Pride Parade, is apparent in these photographs of revelers as captured by Culture Trip photographers. This is a snapshot of what New Yorkers wore to the Pride Parade in the streets of Greenwich Village. “Pride means love and freedom,” says celebrant Kable Barhart, pictured below in a red swimsuit, denim cutoffs, and flower crown. “For me, pride is everyday, but today lets people really be free. Today celebrates us.”
