New York Fashion Week, one of the biggest events in the industry’s calendar, returns from September 6-14 – and with so much pressure on looking good, it’s important you navigate NYFW in style.

For some the passing of Labor Day marks the end of summer, while for others it’s the start of the fall fashion season, which kicks off in Manhattan and the outer boroughs with New York Fashion Week (NYFW).

Gone are the days of tents in Bryant Park and Lincoln Center; these days, most shows are held at TriBeCa’s Spring Studios and the West Village’s Industria. However, plenty of designers show outside these locales, so if you’re planning on catching catwalk action, you’ll be hailing cabs, snagging an Uber or taking advantage of New York’s public transit system.

Show-hopping isn’t always glamorous, which is problematic when you want to arrive at each venue looking super stylish. But don’t worry, Culture Trip, in partnership with YOOX, has come up with five chic, comfortable and versatile wardrobe staples that will see you through New York Fashion Week as you move from day to evening.

George J Love fanny pack ($89/ £69)

Chic ballet flats help you travel comfortably from one venue to another. These are small enough to fit in a purse, because the last thing you want to do is arrive at a show with a duffel bag.
