For a short time in 1931, the Chrysler Building was the tallest building in the world. Built to glorify the automobile, it’s still one of the most beloved structures in New York City. The building’s art deco lobby, which holds the first digital clock and a stunning ceiling mural, is free and open to the public daily. Here are the best hotels nearby, all bookable with Culture Trip.
