WINTER SALE: Save up to $862 on our trips! Book now and secure your adventure!

There is truly no shortage of things to do in New York City. And, as the summer months start to approach, the list of activities will only keep growing and growing. The NoLita Outdoor Market is a summer neighborhood ritual for downtown Manhattanites. Every summer, the outdoor artisan market lines the sidewalks of NoLita and New Yorkers come out to sell (and buy!) everything from t-shirts to baby toys to antiques to jewelry. Savvy locals know to check out the market at least once a month, as what’s in stock and who’s selling is only temporary. Here are just a few of the vendors you may find while wandering the stalls.

At the Camera Monster stall, shoppers can pick up t-shirts screen printed with black-and-white images of vintage cameras. The old-school-cool shirts are the perfect thing to throw on with a pair of jeans when you want to look put together without having to think about it.

Shaya NYC sells metal jewelry that looks equally at home on downtown trendsetters or those who prefer simpler, understated styles. Prices for jewelry can range anywhere from $64 for a bracelet to $216 for a gold necklace. Those who make a stop at the stall are practically guaranteed to find one of those pieces that they’ll wear every single day for the rest of their lives.

Pigeon Be Pigeon has one of the funniest (and perhaps most New York) names at the NoLita Market. At this stall, shoppers will find cute and quirky t-shirts with New York City’s unofficial mascot, the pigeon. Whether you love them or are so terrified you will cross the street to avoid them, there’s no denying that New Yorkers are well versed in all things pigeon.

No jewelry collection is complete without something a little quirky. For those who prefer the jewelry they wear to be little works of art, Sixpence Jewelry create glass-blown pieces to reflect either a favorite work of art, animal or even a beautiful stained glass window.

To really round up a trip to the market, be sure to pick up something for a little TLC time later at home. Joliet Skincare offers natural skincare including luxurious body butters and masks for minimizing pores.

The market is located on Prince Street between Mulberry and Mott streets. It is open every Friday through Sunday from March through December (although it’s at its peak during the summer). The stalls open at 10 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. For up-to-date information on what’s at the NoLita market, check out their Facebook page.
