The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in downtown Newark is one of the largest performing arts centers in the United States. It is home to the Grammy Award-winning New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. More than seven million visitors have visited the center since it opened in October 1997 on the site of the former Military Park Hotel.
