Gilchrist Restaurant & Marina

Gilchrist Restaurant is beloved by locals for its budget-friendly breakfasts and satisfying blueberry pancakes. It’s also the only breakfast place with outdoor seating that overlooks the Atlantic City bay. For sides, you can pick from sausage, bacon or fried codfish. There are many fresh cooked egg dishes and brunch sandwiches, and the patty melt is a great pick for lunch.

Kelsey & Kim’s Southern Cafe

The award-winning Southern style cuisine offers classics like chicken and waffles and numerous soul food plates. This is some of the best comfort food you’ll get in the area. Customers rave about their hot, sweet cornbread. Delicious flavors abound in the delicious buffalo sauce, well-seasoned fried chicken and fresh collard greens. Top it all off with their delicious desserts, such as the lemon meringue pie. You can also find another of their destinations, simply called Kelsey’s, on Pacific Avenue.

Maria’s Luncheonette is a go to for boardwalk strayers. The classic and retro diner feel bodes well since it gets packed fast. Their French toast deluxe comes with eggs, fries and a choice of meat. Patrons also rave about the fruit and whipped cream topped Belgian waffle concoction. Breakfast is served all day, but look out for their homemade soups, subs, paninis and other staple sandwiches.


Take a stroll down the boardwalk to the Pier Shops at Caesars’s Continental for some chicken and waffles, made with buttermilk fried chicken, white cheddar and a bit of applewood-smoked bacon gravy. If you’re in the mood for something savory, try the huevos rancheros. The classy, retro-style diner will make you nostalgic for the mid-century Atlantic City magic. Lenox Cafe

The hidden gem, Lenox Cafe, serves Dominican and American style breakfast and brunch. The small cafe features a small bar and open kitchen with about five booths on the side. The mango breakfast platter is a delicious mash of plantains topped with grilled onions, fried cheese, two eggs and salami. Friendly staff, cheap prices and tasty plates—some with spice—make this a must-try after a night out on the town. Come hungry and leave full.

Sunday brunch at Capriccio is extravagant and elegant. One of the deals comes with many stations and options. Malelani Caf offers up traditional breakfast along with a Mediterranean lunch menu called Dimitri’s Corner.There are plenty of platter options, ranging from crab cake, chicken souvlaki to their phyllo pie platter with hummus and olives to their signature dish, the moussaka with potato, eggplant and ground beef topped with a béchamel sauce. Another section of the menu serves Mediterranean chicken wraps and gyros to shwarma. All entrees are served with Greek salad and pita.

Waterfront Buffet

Stack up on crab legs and other food stations at the Waterfront Buffet. Besides the crab legs, the mac and cheese, collard greens and fried chicken will hit the spot here. You can also find fun salad station with hand-picked options and where salads are chopped up for you, and be sure to end the meal with all their decadent desserts.
