Linda Jean’s has been a popular destination among locals and visitors for a satisfying breakfast or lunch for the last 30 years. The restaurant would deserve a visit for its location alone. A fine example of the colonial architecture that dominates the island, the picture perfect wooden house in which the restaurant is situated flaunts purple walls, white windows and door frames, and sloping tile roofs.

Nancy's

There’s a reason why anybody who had a chance to visit Nancy’s love this historic restaurant: the magnificent view it offers of the Oak Bluffs harbour, which becomes particularly picturesque when the sun goes down and sets the sky on fire. State Road Restaurant certainly has the look and feel of a contemporary tavern, as it describes itself. Exposed wooden beams, a stone fireplace and warm lighthing create an intimate, rustic ambiance, enriched with a number of exquisite artworks. Yet another seafood restaurant on Martha’s Vineyard, and one of the finest, State Road is also a top choice to share a plate of tongue-tingling charcuterie and taste a range of regional artisanal cheeses.

The Martha’s Vineyard Chowder Company‘s signature chowder is made with the fresh, quality clams that the ocean provides every day, but the menu lists many other excellent dishes, both of seafood and meat. The restaurant is also known for a notable range of 15 different draft beers that pair well with the scrumptious food.

The Scoop Shack

The Scoop Shack is a small but charming ice cream and candy shop in Edgartown. The visually stunning shop offers a mesmerizing amount of colorful, irresistible candies, lollipops and bars, expertly packaged in cute bags or jars and enticing customers from two large displays. The ice cream department is at the far end of the shop, and serves some of the island’s yummiest, most delicious ice cream in a varied selection of flavors and choices.

Graziano Scaldaferri was born in a small town 150 km away south of Naples, and always enjoyed all that being born in southern Italy entails: the great climate and the even better food. He completed his studies in Communication Sciences in Naples, but with only his final dissertation to go before graduating, he started working as a web designer instead. After getting his hands dirty with HTML and Photoshop for over three years, he eventually took a break to write his long overdue dissertation. As he is passionate about photography, he chose the recent upsurge of photography books as the topic of his thesis. His interest in photography also led him to create Fotografia Magazine, an online magazine that showcases the work of emerging and talented photographers.
