American Sailing Tours

Offering a unique opportunity to take in some of Baltimore’s most famous sights, American Sailing Tours takes their guests on a memorable boat ride along the Patapsco River. Aboard their schooner, the Summer Wind, the 90-minute tour features notable landmarks such as the USS Constellation, Fort McHenry and the National Aquarium. It’s perfect for a summer’s day out and a great way to get out on the river.

First opened in 1876, making it one of the oldest zoos in the country, Maryland Zoo is an ideal way to spend a day outside. Covering 135 acres (55 hectares), the zoo has hundreds of animals to see and with events planned throughout the day, lots of activities to get involved in. If you get a chance, be sure to take part in the Penguin Encounter, where guests get to interact with some of the park’s resident African penguins.

Oriole Park at Camden Fields

There is no better way to spend a day outside than watching a game of America’s favorite pastime. Situated in downtown Baltimore, Oriole Park is home to the Baltimore Orioles, the city’s Major League Baseball team. With clear views of the game and tasty stadium food, the park gives a great all-round experience and is a classic day out for the whole family.

Little Italy

Based in downtown Baltimore, Little Italy is the home to all things Italian in the city. With picturesque roads and authentic family-run businesses, you can spend hours strolling the streets and sampling the local cuisine. As a bonus during the summer months, the neighborhood hosts an open-air film festival, showcasing the best of Italian film.

Patterson Park

With so much to see and do, Patterson Park is a great way to get some outdoor action in Baltimore. Featuring more than a few sports courts and walking trails, the park has plenty of ways to make the most of the outdoors. If you are looking for something a little more relaxing however, the park hosts numerous concerts on Pagoda Hill throughout the summer.
