Against the high rises and office buildings that line Rockville Pike, Hank Dietle’s Tavern is impossible to miss. First established as a tavern in the 1950s, this old-timer’s dive bar offers just three options: beer, wine, or water. With pinball machines, a pool table, a jukebox that offers country or classic rock, arcade booths, time-worn wooden booths, and a short bar, Dietle’s Tavern looks like a set straight out of an old American movie.
