A house favorite is the Brass Tack made with Pikesville rye. Perfect for a date night, Fork & Wrench’s drinks are sophisticated standouts, and it’s one of the best bars for a gin cocktail. Try getting one with a hint of lavender.

This part-gastropub, part-restaurant, part-bottle shop has as amazing selection of Stillwater draughts. And for those looking for a more creative selection, try their shots, barrel drinks or cocktails. There are fun mixes like A Café in Sicily, which is mixed with iced coffee and bacon bourbon. Beer lovers will rejoice with their selection of imported crafts, Belgians, ciders and lambics.

Annabel Lee Tavern

Named after Edgar Allan Poe’s poem, Annabel Lee boasts a bevy of bottled and tap beers, as well as Poe-themed cocktails. The intimate bar has an appropriate gothic décor, with Poe’s quotes on the wall. The haunt offers a New American menu with an extensive wine and beer list as well. Affordable, yet still romantic and impressive enough for a date night, Annabel Lee’s drinks have many loyal patrons dining here again and again.

Walt’s Inn

Host of the city’s best karaoke night, Walt’s Inn in Canton has a friendly crowd and the strongest Jell-O shots you might ever try. The bar is a lively extension of Baltimore’s young crowd and you’ll be sure to spend very little. Come to this bar if you like loud spaces with music and if you want to sink your sorrows away in a classic, debauched drinking den – you’re guaranteed a good time at Walt’s.

Cardinal Tavern

The Cardinal Tavern is a cozy bar with exposed brick and a rustic feel. Inspired by a Southern Americana cooking, the cocktail bar doesn’t disappoint with its food or its drinks – with some of the best coffee cocktails in Canton. Cardinal Tavern also features flavorful crushes that are mixed with international vodkas and all-American bourbons and ryes. Be sure to try their bourbon drinks, as they have a respect and focus for the liquor in their cocktails.

Mahaffey’s Pub

Popular Mahaffey’s Pub is a fixture of Baltimore nightlife. Join their 100 beer club for free to get special offers and discounts when you reach milestones after trying designated numbers of beers. The happy hour special consists of three 10 ounce brews for $6, which is a perfect excuse to try one of their many micro brews or craft ales. They also always have a cask ale on tap, and their extensive beer menu is complemented by a well-executed American menu and great fried pickles.

Ale Mary’s

Located on the edge of Canton, Ale Mary’s happy hour offers $1 off all Stellas, draft beers, wine and liquor drinks every day throughout the week. Their fresh fruit crushes are popular for weekday brunches and come in a variety of flavors, including creamsicle, grapefruit, orange and mango, among others. The bar will make you stay awhile with its neighborhood feel, and satisfy your tastebuds with the crabby tots and a tap beer.
