The growing suburban city of Leawood, Kansas is home to first-rate dining and shopping, and its location on the border of Kansas and Missouri makes it a great place to stop off at while traveling through the states. We explore some of the best spots to grab a bite while you’re here.

With three locations in and around Leawood, Joe’s is the place to go for a smokey hometown barbecue. The Leawood location opened in 2012 and has earned a reputation in the community for great food. Enjoy one of the traditional BBQ sandwiches and dinners, or try a specialty sandwich like the Z-Man, a slow-smoked beef brisket topped with smoked provolone cheese and fried onion rings on a Kaiser roll.
