Galo’s Italian Grill

Eating at Galo’s Italian Grill is like stepping into a sultry courtyard in Italy on a summer evening; the interior is imaginatively decorated to include a fresco of a clear night sky, Romanesque pillars and paintings as well as real trees with lanterns hung in their branches. The spacious interior makes Galo’s perfect for family dinners or other gatherings. Galo’s serves a variety of different Italian classics including pastas doused in homemade sauces, seafood risotto, Caprese salad, fresh Italian bread with aromatic olive oil, and cannolis. This is a great place to come for a relaxing meal with an upscale ambiance.

The Olde Richmond Inn

The Olde Richmond Inn is housed in a Victorian brick building, and its richly toned interior is equally traditional. This is a good spot to enjoy some tried-and-true favorites like prime rib, crab cakes, or lasagna served with the utmost quality and care. There are several rooms with seating available, so you can rest assured that you won’t have to wait. On a cool evening, we recommend sitting near the cozy fireplace. The Olde Richmond Inn is ideal for enjoying a meal with friends, a business lunch, or romantic date night. The prompt and attentive service rounds out this fine-dining experience.

Little Sheba’s

Little Sheba’s is one of the most hopping places in Richmond. A casual pub with a mellow vibe, Little Sheba’s hosts live music, trivia nights and other interactive events. The interior is clad in warm color tones, the full bar stands as the focal point, and there is an outdoor patio housed within a large arbor. The menu is mainly comprised of laid-back pub fare like quesadillas, personal pizzas, pulled pork, gyros, and croissant sandwiches. Be sure to save room for Sheba’s Killer Brownie, a monstrously gooey dessert served with cherries on top. Of course, there are also plenty of different brews to try, too.

Firehouse BBQ

Located in a historic brick building, Firehouse BBQ is hard to miss. People come here not only for the live music but also for tasty BBQ meats that come with sides served in glass jars. Naturally, the ribs are a must-try, but the beef brisket and pulled pork hold their own as tasty menu options. Specifically, the pulled pork topped baked potato is really amazing. Bring the largest appetite you can muster when coming to Firehouse BBQ because we can guarantee it’ll be hard to choose.

Gulzar’s

At Gulzar’s you will find authentic Indian food. Gulzar’s does all the classics like lamb korma, chicken masala, paneer and more. Each menu option can be prepared with spiciness levels varying from one to ten. We suggest hitting up the spicier end of the spectrum and cooling down with a fresh mango lassi. Gulzar’s hosts a lunch buffet with more than 40 different dishes on offer. They also have an extensive takeout menu.

Clara’s Pizza King

Pizza King is a local pizza franchise that serves pastas and other Italian dishes. Clara’s Pizza King is one of the most celebrated establishments within the franchise due to its longstanding history in Richmond as well as its unique décor. The large warehouse-style interior is surprisingly dynamic with most notable features including lots of stained-glass detailing and a bright red London-style double decker bus. You can even be seated inside the bus! As for the food, you may have guessed by the name that pizza is their specialty, but there are some other tasty menu picks like the baked pasta and the blue cheese bacon burger.

Thai Thara

Thai Thara specializes in Thai and Chinese cuisine as well as Mongolian barbecue. The wait staff is attentive and happy to help you choose if you’re new to these dishes. They also allow patrons to customize the spiciness of each dish to accommodate a multitude of palates. Popular favorites are the yellow curry chicken, tom yum soup, spicy green beans, Thai fried rice, sesame chicken, lettuce wraps, crab Rangoon, and traditional Thai flat noodle dishes. Of course, it basically goes without saying that just about any dish ought to be paired with a Thai ice tea.
