Last Chance To See Van Gogh's Bedrooms At The Art Institute

This is your last chance to view all three versions of Van Gogh’s The Bedroom in one exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago. Vincent Van Gogh captivates people with both his bold use of color and his tragic life. The uninformed might wonder what’s the point of seeing three paintings of what is essentially the same picture, but the three bedroom pieces cover the painter’s time in his ‘Yellow House’ in Arles, France, from 1888 to 1889. The exhibition includes a total of 36 works by the artist, including paintings, drawings, and letters with the bedroom pieces framing Van Gogh’s search for a sense of home. Access to Van Gogh’s Bedrooms requires a $5 ticket in addition to general admission tickets, which start at $14.
