Nestled in the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s yachting district, Fresh First puts a modern healthy spin on yummy grub. The breakfast and lunch menu boasts 100% gluten-free food. Options such as veggie tofu scrambled with mushrooms, red peppers, spinach and onions with flax bread and the lentil burger are vegan favorites. Also, all menu items are affordable and freshly made.

Sublime Restaurant & Bar

Founded as an effort to minimize animal cruelty, the profits of Sublime Restaurant & Bar goes to organizations that promote animal welfare and a vegan lifestyle—so you can fill your stomach guilt-free. The affordable menu offers a plethora of appetizers, such as crispy cauliflower soup with sweet chili sauce and sesame seeds, along with delicious entrées, including mushroom ravioli, raw mein, veggie lasagna and a salad menu. A seemingly endless wine, craft beer and cocktail menu is worth getting excited about. You may even spot a celebrity. Stars such as Paul McCartney, Alec Baldwin, and Alicia Silverstone have visited the restaurant in the past.

The bar offers weekly specials and juice tips of the day along with insight into juicing. It’s a bowl wonderland at this hormone-free, antibiotic-free, and gluten-free hot spot. Build your own bowl with recipes made from scratch daily in-house with nothing ever fried or frozen. The Beehive Kitchen offers two sizes—small bowl or classic bowl—with prices ranging from $7.95 to $9.95 (pretty affordable for the portions). Fill them up with your choice of ingredients from lemon basil quinoa to sweet potato glass noodles and sesame citrus tofu. (Non-vegetarians can choose protein ranging from barbecue pork to rustic herb grilled chicken and ahi tuna poke.) Sprinkle with options such as shaved Parmesan cheese or citrus-marinated avocado and a selection of dressings. This healthy eatery is as cute as a button and even offers delivery.

If you’re looking for a breakfast spot, you’ll find all of your vegan and vegetarian cravings at Gourmet Garden Cafe & Juices. Breakfast options include sesame bagel rings, gluten-free protein pancakes with toasted coconut crumble, and a few vegetarian combos such as organic eggs with Monterey cheese and turkey bacon, sweet potato fries and a cup of organic coffee all for $10.50.
