1. Fly Bar and Restaurant

When you think of an establishment with a roof deck bar, your expectations of the place automatically go up – and for good reason. Tampa’s Fly Bar definitely doesn’t disappoint. Watch the sunset here while enjoying a Fly Sangria cocktail or a selection from the lengthy beer and wine list.

2. Yard of Ale

With over 20 beers on draft and 75 bottled beers available, Yard of Ale certainly has plenty of options for the beer fanatics. In the heart of the lively SOHO district, Yard of Ale provides a fun environment with daily specials on food and drinks. Come here for the life sized jenga games and atmosphere that brings Tampa locals always coming back for more.

3. The Lodge

Just north of Swann Avenue is The Lodge, another popular SOHO venue. The Lodge has two main components to it – sports bar by day and bustling club at night. Try the Maxmosas – a giant mimosa with a mini bottle of champagne included in the drink.

4. The SAIL Pavilion

Right on the water in downtown, The SAIL is nestled in the middle of the Tampa Convention Center. The location of the Pavilion is perfect for any tourist, walking distance from many of the downtown locations and the Channelside district. Food trucks also visit the bar frequently which will perfectly compliment any beer or cocktail enjoyed on the Riverwalk.

5. Skipper's Smokehouse

With a charming dive appearance and welcoming atmosphere, Skipper’s Smokehouse is a hidden gem of Tampa Bay. This place has a casual vibe and great history; it was purchased in 1980 by three Air Force comrades. Come here for the famous Skipperdome, a large backyard concert area under massive oak trees that is home to live music six nights a week.

6. Rick's on the River

Located smack dab on the Hillsborough River is Rick’s, welcoming visitors to their establishment by car, boat or paddle-board. Open every day of the year, Rick’s compliments its classic pub grub with three separate bars and a party pavilion that can hold up to 200 people/

7. New World Brewery

In the heart of the historic Ybor District, New World Brewery boasts a wonderful array of drinks and live music from up-and-coming bands from all around the nation.

8. MacDinton's

MacDinton’s is a party bar off South Howard. This Irish pub is Tampa’s home to watching all international and national soccer games as well as rugby. It’s great for groups or solo travelers looking to meet some new people.

9. Gaspar's Grotto

With its classic three-dollar “shot and a beer” special, Gaspar’s Grotto is a local favorite in Tampa. The pirate themed bar has a lovely and spacious outside gallery for socializing and enjoying drinks from any of the three themed bars at the establishment – aptly named the grotto, sandbar and the galley.
