Nothing satisfies the belly like a homemade plate of grits or a juicy burger with fries. If you’re craving comfort food, feel free to pop in to any of these restaurants serving up finger lickin’ good food in the 3-0-5. Here’s a round-up of our favorites.

Blue Collar

Blue Collar settles any craving with its array of comfort food favorites. Chicken parmesan with a side of creamy mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, chowder, the list goes on. It’s not just the good quality food that makes this place great, the friendly service and casual décor adds to the fuzzy warm dining experience. It’s the whole shebang.

Kush

One taste of Kush’s Frita burger or their fabulous key lime pie (with pecans), and you’ll be planning your lunches and dinners here at least once a week. Kush – the gastropub nestled alongside train tracks in the edgier part of Wynwood, is the sibling of the very successful Lokal restaurant. Here you can dig into salty alligator bites, hobo Frito pie and then wash it down with a bottle of craft beer. There’s just no happier ending, we think.

Salty Donuts

The trendy donut shop in Wynwood has amassed a loyal following of hungry clients/social media addicts. People wait in queues all day with their camera-ready phones for a snap and a taste of the epically oversized donuts. The bakeshop introduces different weekly flavors to its menu: there’s the pretty pink Strawberries + Cream donut, a brioche filled with strawberry preserves, cream glaze topped with vanilla bean whip and fresh cut strawberries, while their permanent favorites are beloved for a reason. Just get a whiff of the names: the Nutella or White Chocolate Tres Leches donuts – all which make a scrumptious snack any time of day. (Just make sure you get there before your favorites are sold out!)

Bird & Bone

Located within The Confidante in Miami Beach, Bird and Bone’s rustic restaurant feels like a countryside home. Chef Hales focuses on traditional country cooking with popular dishes like Nashville hot chicken and cornbread waffles as well as a country ham and cheeseboard platter to savor the salty goodness. Their daily happy hour specials are just as enticing.

Ms. Cheezious

Affordable and delicious, Ms. Cheezious is a win-win. The flirty food truck makes drool-worthy grill cheeses the way your gram made it with a kick. Toasted on sourdough bread, creamy blue cheese, green onion and crispy bacon are smothered together to create a tasty treat. But there are a handful of options worth trying too like the bbq pulled pork melt or the mackin melt made with gouda mac n’ cheese.
