No matter what your favorite sweet treat is, Fremont’s got you covered. Take a look at our top 10 dessert shops to find your next indulgence in this Californian area.

Sugar High Dessert Dispensary

Located just a stone’s throw from Fremont in Newpark Mall, Sugar High Dessert Dispensary presents some of the largest cupcakes in Fremont. Among their best-selling is their cookies and cream cupcake, a marble of chocolate and vanilla cake topped with a generous amount of cookie crumble buttercream frosting, and decorated with a small Oreo cookie. Each cupcake is guaranteed fresh; they don’t pipe it until you buy it.

Amia Bakery

Shout out to all the vegans in Fremont looking for dessert. Amia Bakery has the largest, most-extensive menu for super moist vegan, sugar-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free cakes in Fremont. If you don’t have any allergies or dietary restrictions, that’s okay too. Amia has it all.

Niles Ice Cream Sweets & Eats

If you love sundaes, you’ll love Niles Ice Cream Sweets & Eats. With friendly service and huge portions, the low prices are the cherry on top. Locally made, they serve 30 flavors of Treat Ice Cream, a thick and creamy slow-churned ice cream from a creamery in San José. Located in scenic Niles, this place lets you enjoy the cute neighborhood from their outdoor seating. Don’t want to over-indulge? They also offer half scoops.

CREAM

CREAM, a Bay Area favorite, has recently made its way to Fremont. Located in the Pacific Commons shopping center, this location is less likely to have a line wrapped around the block—but not for long. If you happen to go at peak hours, utilize your time in line to perfect your ice cream sandwich. With 10 cookie options and more than a dozen regular and seasonal flavors, you’ll wish the line was longer. Don’t forget to add a topping.

Gelato Classico

A staple in Fremont for more than 20 years, Gelato Classico offers up classic flavors such as stracciatella and pistachio, as well as new favorites, like strawberry cheesecake and caramel pecan. Served along with each scoop of smooth and creamy gelato is a crispy waffle cookie triangle, the perfect complement to the perfect dessert. In addition to gelato, Gelato Classico also offers a variety of sorbet flavors. Can’t decide which one to get? Go with both.

Enigma Café Ice Cream Shop

Ice Cream Parlour, Cafe, Ice Cream, American

There’s no such thing as ‘too much ice cream’. Enigma Café offers the icy treat trifecta: gelato, ice cream, and sorbet. Sandra, the sweet owner, proudly services two local favorites, Gelato Classico gelato and Loard’s ice cream, but the real reason to come here is for the homemade sorbet. A bright a cheery citrus flavor, the lemon sorbet is a must try.

The very first stateside location, Korean-based sweets franchise Milkcow has set up shop in the heart of Fremont. While they offer a variety of delectable macarons and sweet drinks, Milkcow is known for their soft serve ice creams. However, this is soft serve unlike any other, using whole milk and fresh ingredients. A fan favorite is the M3 Milky Cube, vanilla soft serve topped with a square of natural honeycomb.

Slap Face Coffee & Tea

Coffee Shop, Ice Cream Parlour, Cafe, Tea , Coffee, Ice Cream, American

This may seem like any ordinary coffee shop, but don’t be fooled. Sure, Slap Face Coffee & Tea covers the coffee basics, but they go above and beyond with their red velvet latte and frappe. The baristas pour so much love and care into each cup of coffee they brew. If you’re looking for something sweeter, the affogato is a good bet. If you’re not a coffee drinker, they also offer scoops of Marianne’s ice cream, the best from Santa Cruz. Bonus points: they have free Wi-Fi and are open until midnight.

Le Moose Crêpe Café

Serving crepes with a Thai twist, Le Moose Crêpe Café is sure to please any sweet tooth. They offer everything from the simple crepe, a plain buttered crepe, to the gargantuan: a Nutellacrepe topped with your choice of three ice creams, chocolate sauce, strawberries, and bananas. If you’re having a hard time deciding, the strawberry moose is a must-have.
