Matrix is one of those places that makes you curse last call. When 2am hits, it’s hard to admit defeat. The DJ always impresses and the cocktails do, too. Did someone mention a fireplace? Two words: Bloody Mary. This spot may not be as established as many other bars in the Marina, but it has a life-changing Bloody Mary, guaranteed. Two more words: Chex Mix. Well, make that three: free Chex Mix. Word on the street is Campus also serves a $10 shot and beer special. You may have just found both the holy grail and your future nightmare.

Monaghan’s is a classic, and any long time Marina patron would agree. This spot continues to amaze; in a sea of nightclubs, this ship sails steady, or wobbly – very wobbly. Must be the insanely cheap drink specials Monaghan’s pours. The crowd… well, you know what to expect. Embrace it.

No need to bore you with the familiar, so here’s the short take. Great atmosphere, cheap drinks, TVs with sports, pool tables, yadda yadda yadda… The one thing that makes Marina Lounge so special is one famous bartender: Sully.
