This award-winning Inn is run by siblings Joe and Catherine Bartolomei, who are the fifth generation of the family to make their home in Sonoma. The rooms range from spacious suites with vaulted ceilings to cosy “jewel box” rooms, and each features a curated wine fridge. Make sure to visit the Michelin-star restaurant. The menu features ingredients straight from the owner’s ranch and the surrounding farms. It’s also walking distance to a variety of tasting rooms and local restaurants. Each cozy cottage boasts its own fireplace and jacuzzi tub, making it the perfect cosy retreat. For an afternoon tipple, drop into the nearby Martini Bar, which is also run by the Glen Ellen Inn. It opens at 3pm each day and has an extensive menu of martinis and over 500 bottles of local Sonoma and Napa wines.
