Located in the heart of Santa Clara County, Sunnyvale is an extremely diverse area with many places to grab a bite. Brunch is not a particularly popular meal amongst the Bay Area crowd, but there are still places to enjoy this unique mixture of breakfast and lunch. Here are some of the best in Sunnyvale.

Country Gourmet

Country Gourmet is a celebrated haunt that serves brunch from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays and 8am to 2pm on Sundays. All omelets and scrambles are made with fresh eggs and served with either a biscuit, toast, or potatoes. In addition to their brunch menu, you can now choose from a special menu unique to Sundays. Staff members highly recommend the San Jose Omelet, which is also a customer favorite.

K’s Crepes and Café

A family owned business in the heart of the city, K’s Crepes and Café is a relaxed, casual setting that allows you to enjoy your meal until its last bite. It is open from 8:30am to 4pm on weekdays and 8am to 3pm on weekends. Items here are made from scratch using only the freshest ingredients. The Manchester United is one of their standout dishes.

Madras Café

An Indian vegetarian restaurant that is easy to miss, Madras Café serves customers authentic delicacies from the southern part of India. Some personal favorites include the Rasam Vada, Onion Rava Dosa, and Bisibele Baath. Don’t forget to grab some filter coffee after your meal. Opening times can be viewed here.

Bagel Place Café

Open from the early hours of the day, Bagel Place Café is an ideal place to catch breakfast, lunch, and everything in between. Their freshly made bagels are renowned and so is their home made cream cheese. The café is open from 6am to 3pm on weekdays and 6:30am to 2:30pm on Saturdays.

The Phoenix

Phoenix Veg Café & Juice Bar, although not located directly in Sunnyvale, is a vegetarian joint in Mountain View dedicated to eating and drinking healthily. Their veggie juices are a popular item with customers. They are open from 8:30am to 6pm Monday through Saturday.

Black Bear Diner

The Black Bear Diner is a chain of diners open in multiple states. The ambience is charming and the diner is always bustling. The Sunnyvale location is open from 6am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday, and 6am to 11pm Friday and Saturday. Customers rave about the classic food and affordable prices.

Hobee’s Restaurant

Hobee’s has six Silicon Valley locations and has been serving customers since 1974. Hobee’s offers dinner specials, a separate menu for kids, and even a gluten free menu. They are also available on waiters.com for online ordering. It is open from 7am to 2:30pm on Mondays, 7am to 9pm Tuesday to Friday, and 8am to 9pm on weekends.
