Trials Pub is an authentic British Pub offering some of Britain’s favorite dishes and brews, from fish and chips to bangers and mash, and Boddingtons cream ale to Dragon Slayer IPA. Some other brews straight from England include Bass, Newcastle, and Strongbow, with about 15 on tap and a wide collection of bottled beers as well. The space is small and intimate with a fireplace and walls lined with an eclectic collection of art. Cozy up to your favorite brew, or sit down to a hot meal of shepherd’s pie—a favorite among their regulars.

The Cinebar is a down to earth hipster-like joint with good, strong, cheap drinks. The walls are uniquely decorated with black and white pop-art style movie murals and there’s occasional live music, a pool table, and often movies playing on the bar TV’s.

The Caravan Lounge

The Caravan Lounge is a popular spot known for live music and local bands, catering mainly to punk rock and metal. Drinks are reasonably priced and generously poured, and the staff is friendly. Paper Plane is a classy cocktail bar with a long bar in a spacious brick setting. Try one of their creative cocktails like The Monkey & ½ banana, the Pearadise City, or the Indian Summer made with Old Monk rum, passionfruit, carrot, orange, lemon, pastis, kummel, and Peychaud’s bitters.
