What better food to eat in this seaside city than seafood. Sit down by the window of one of San Francisco’s fantastic seafood restaurants, and watch the boats drifting on the ocean as the seagulls fly above the roofs. Here are a few great restaurants by the bay.

Joe’s Crab Shack on Fisherman’s Wharf

Joe’s Crab Shack

Located on Fisherman’s Wharf, Joe’s Crab Shack is known for two things, crabs and dancing. If you order crab, you’ll get a crab cracker you can take home as a souvenir, as well as a bib if you get a little messy. Also, there is always music playing in this fun, lively place, but, sometimes, the workers will get up and start grooving along to the song. There is a wide variety of other delicious food, such as Maine lobsters, ribeye, jumbo shrimp, catfish, calamari and mahi-mahi. They can come in the appetizers, or in big steampots. And don’t forget the delectable desserts like the key lime pie and chocolate shack attack.

With choices from sushi to tacos to barbecue salmon, and with the stylish look of the one on Ninth Avenue, this restaurant is definitely impressive. In addition to all of that, Pacific Catch accepts payments with PayPal. If you need a little something different, something to change your whole perspective on seafood, come on down to either location (Ninth Avenue or Chestnut Street) and have your share of this restaurant’s dazzling dishes.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Company

Founded based on the restaurant from Forrest Gump, the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company is, obviously, known for its Forrest Gump theme and shrimp. Walking through the restaurant, you will find license plates and signs related to the movie. You can order shrimp po’ boys, southern fried chicken, mahi-mahi and jambalaya. Afterwards, top it off with Mama’s Best Strawberry Shortcake. And, if you really love the place, stop by the gift shop and buy cups, hats, t-shirts, aprons and even ping pong equipment.
