Get Ready: The Newest Limited-Edition Frappuccino Rolls Out Today

Starbucks has created another photogenic limited-edition Frappuccino, which drops today—this one Zombie-themed for Halloween.

On the heels of the (ahem) monster success of this summer’s popular Unicorn and Mermaid Frappuccinos, Starbucks now brings us the Zombie Frappuccino.
The neon-green drink sports fall flavors of tart green apple and caramel. It’s topped with pink whipped cream (intended to resemble brains) and a reddish mocha drizzle (which, yes, blood). We just tried it ourselves, and can report that the whipped cream is faintly raspberry-ish and quite tasty; the drink itself is reminiscent of Laffy Taffy—appropriate, since the last time we had that candy was on some none-too-recent Halloween.
“We thought about what you’d serve at a Halloween party, and we settled on dipped caramel apples,” says Jennica Robinson of Starbucks’ beverage development team. “It has a tart green apple favor balanced with a smooth, sweet caramel.”
And though it doesn’t include any sort of coffee or tea, we’re pretty sure the sugar content alone will put some pep in your step for doing the Thriller dance.
The Zombie Frappuccino is available now through Halloween (October 31) at participating Starbucks locations in the U.S. and Canada.
