This fascinating archeological site provides valuable information about how the Otomi people lived in the area during the pre-Hispanic era. Cañada de la Virgen is a relatively new site, discovered in the middle of a privately owned hacienda in 1998, with public access granted in 2011. Visiting the site involves some walking but the phenomenal structures will compensate you for it.
