San Angel Inn, one of the most popular restaurants in San Angel, is located in a beautiful hacienda which dates back to the 17th Century. Over the years, the hacienda, which has now been officially declared a ‘Colonial Monument’ has been used for multiple purposes, such as a monastery, a pulque production site (pulque being an alcoholic beverage made from cacti) and a hotel restaurant.
