This open-air, gazebo-style restaurant sits right on the beach and is a popular spot where friends and family come to hang out and eat delicious food. Tippy’s offers a range of Bahamian and European dishes but the lobster salad, specialty pizzas, and fresh fish are customer favorites. On Saturdays, there is live music by Big Belly and the Haitian Sensations.

Located on the waterfront on the harbor is 1648 Bar & Grille, one of the best places in Governor’s Harbour to go for a meal. The restaurant is walking distance to the luxurious French Leave Harbour Village, so expect an abundance of tourists there during the day. The restaurant features an inside dining area as well as outside seating for those that want a breathtaking view of the ocean while they eat. 1648’s lunch menu features a variety of traditional American dishes while the dinner menu is seafood galore, steaks, and plates of pasta.
5. Buccaneer Club

Nestled at the top of Buccaneer Hill is the Buccaneer Club Restaurant, a mid-19th-century farmhouse-turned-restaurant. This restaurant is a popular spot among locals and tourists alike because of its outdoor dining area surrounded by a garden of exotic flowers and coconut palms. Enjoy Buccaneer’s famous grouper, conch, or crawfish and afterward, take a stroll along the beautiful French Leave Beach. The restaurant is, however, closed mid-August to mid-September.
