Every dog lover knows how important it is to find a great place where their four-legged friend can play and have a great time. Unfortunately, Dubai isn’t a very dog friendly city, with most places not allowing dogs and the heat during summer not being great for our four-legged friends. However, there are certain spots in Dubai which welcome dogs much to the relief of pet owners. Whether you want to take your dog out, or simply pet someone’s adorable pup, these are the places to do so.

The Irish Village

Beer and dogs? Sounds like a combination made in heaven! Fortunately, at The Irish Village you can enjoy both. The outdoors pub welcomes dogs to chill with their owners while they wash the weekend away with a nice beer, enjoying the Irish theme of the venue. There is a large grass area right next to the pub, allowing dogs to play around, have fun and mingle with each other. Guaranteed fun for both dogs and their owners.

Lime Tree Cafe

At a cafe

For a pleasant coffee date with man’s best friend, the best place to head to is Lime Tree Cafe. The cafe has three locations around Dubai, however only the one in Jumeirah allows dogs to chill at their shaded patio with their owners. This is a great spot to grab a coffee and a snack and meet other dog owners – with plenty of space for pups to hang around. Lime Tree Cafe is also a great spot for people to bring their laptops and get work done, with their pet for emotional support.

Arrows and Sparrows

This trendy neighborhood cafe is well known for their delicious wholesome menu – however this is not the only great thing about Arrows and Sparrows. The cafe has a dog friendly patio, where pets can spend some quality time with their owners while they grab breakfast – and hope that some of that tasty meal will fall so they can enjoy it too. This is convenient, as Arrows and Sparrows is located at a living community, The Greens (which is dog friendly), and so dog owners in the area can end their walk with a great snack and coffee.

Burj Park

Taking their pup for a walk in the park is a standard part of people’s routines around the world. However, most parks in Dubai are surprisingly not dog friendly. Not to worry, Burj Park is here to make all dog owners around the city happy. This massive park with an impeccable view of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains allows pet owners to walk their dogs. Of course, everyone is expected to pick up after their pups accordingly.

Al Qudra Lakes

Al Qudra Lake, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

For those looking to take their dogs on a weekend get away, the ideal spot is the Al Qudra Lakes. Located about a 40 minute drive away from Sheikh Zayed Road, the lakes have no restrictions to pets. This means that visitors can come here with their dogs, spend the day, picnic and even camp – creating a full range of weekend activities which the pup can come along to. Additionally, this oasis is stunning, with anything from swans to flamingos around. A perfect spot to watch the sunset.
