This Awesome Virtual Cocktail Takes You to Scotland and Back

That’s right, a new cocktail at London’s One Aldwych hotel will take you to the land of Scots and back – glass of Scotch included.

Punters will be able to get their hands on one at the Lobby Bar at One Aldwych, a rather posh hotel in the centre of London. Those who order the Origin, an extremely OTT cocktail which combines a 12-year-old Dalmore Scotch with cherry liqueur, cherry puree, grapefruit juice, chocolate bitters and champagne, will be able to get smashed (that’s another word for drunk in London) and enjoy the joy of the virtual world at the same time.

So how does it all work? Before you sip on the fabulous drink, you’ll embark on a ‘multisensory journey’ that features wonderfully vivid 3D aerial footage explaining the ins and outs of the cocktail you’re about to down – it starts high up in the Scottish Highlands, sweeps through Covent Garden and returns to the very swanky bar. The cocktail is then presented to you at the precise moment the two-minute video ends. And yes, the show is quite the spectacle.

It’s also part of the bar’s new ‘Showtime Cocktails’ menu, which is inspired by different West End theatre productions.
