Shoreditch is famous for its eclectic style and colourful characters and it’s also home to some of the best second-hand and vintage markets in London with a broad range of stalls to entice eager shoppers, including antiques, jewellery, clothes and art. Some of the very best independent street food sellers pitch up in this area of London too, showcasing food from around the world. Here are 28 photos that show Shoreditch markets are the best in London.

Brick Lane Market

This East End hotspot has a reputation for a reason, home to some of the very best second-hand clothes at bargain prices, Brick Lane is one of the best areas for markets in the whole of London. The quality and selection of vintage clothes are indisputable and it’s an absolute must for unique fashion finds. In true flea-market style, you’ll also find a whole host of other knick-knacks on offer, including antiques and craft stalls. Crowds also flock to Brick Lane every week to browse the indie vinyls and the up-and-coming clothing brands and to get a taste of the great street food the market has to offer.

Spitalfields Market

Hungry weekday workers flock to the food market every lunchtime to check out the incredible selection of food stalls Spitalfields has to offer. If it’s Italian you’re craving, Sud Italia’s pizzas are cooked right before your eyes in the oven and their doughy offerings will leave you wanting more. Whatever cuisine you’re in the mood for, Spitalfields will have it cooked fresh in front of you.

The market also has a great selection of stalls for shopping (over 110 on its busiest days). It’s a shopper’s paradise, boasting unique jewellery and clothing, incredible artwork and quirky furniture.
