British Bakeoff Chef Chetna Makan’s Cookbook Launch
You may know her from the BBC’s The Great British Bake-Off, but Chetna Makan is not only known for her TV appearance. The cook is recognised around the country for her unique recipes, fusing Indian ingredients into traditional Western baking cuisine. She includes colourful spices, poignant herbs and a touch of Oriental aesthetic into all of her food. Since Chetna encourages the everyday baker to experiment with their recipes and take innovative risks, she has published her first cookbook: The Cardamom Trail. The launch of this book will be in collaboration with St. Luke’s Kitchen. For three nights only, Chetna and St. Luke’s Head Chef Gavin Lambert will work together to create a carefully constructed menu, paired with the right wine to match the recipes. St. Luke’s is known for its high-end cuisine and is located in the heart of a library. On the menu, you can choose from dishes such as lemon challah bread with coconut paneer or a mango mousse cake. Our mouths are watering…
