Grace & Mabel

In 2007, sisters Shelley, Daniela and Kirstie opened the doors of this boutique store, nestled in the pretty Clifton Village. Over time, they’ve built themselves a prestigious reputation as one of the best places to come for women’s clothing (they also now have a second store in Bath!). With individually picked items from designers across the world, you can expect unique items of clothing, accessories and even fragrances and beauty products.

Garment Quarter

Store, Shop
Launched in 2010, Garment Quarter is a fusion of New York’s Garment District and Manchester’s Northern Quarter, and what more could you want from a shopping experience? With a focus on unusual and interesting, yet still wearable, pieces, the store buyers really put their all into sourcing amazing products for their customers. With items from Vivienne Westwood, Moschino, Versace, Victoria Beckham, Comme des Garçons and many other designer brands, Bristol shoppers are given a great selection to choose from. You can even organise to have a personal shopper help you find what you’re looking for — with complimentary refreshments included!

BS8

Park, Store
BS8 is an independent womenswear store stocking vintage, high-street and independent brands, as well as a couple of designer finds if you’re lucky. If you’re after a pair of vintage Levi’s, a cool patterned silk shirt, an aviator jacket or pretty much anything chic, you’re sure to find it here!

Carhartt WIP

This store may also dedicate half of its floorspace to menswear, but their women’s offering is just as fruitful. With fresh, cool clothes for the contemporary woman, you’re guaranteed to find at least one item of clothing to fall in love with.

Maze Clothing

Shop, Store
This store has been open since 1985 and is pretty much a Bristol staple. With a carefully sourced selection of clothing from a number of UK and European brands, you won’t be disappointed with what’s on offer. Think Bonne Maison, Hudson, Citizens of Humanity, Nice Things and more.

Rhubarb Jumble

Store, Shop
If vintage garments are your thing, then you’ll love rummaging through Rhubarb Jungle, a fairly new thrift store located on the thriving North Street. Without being overwhelming, expect rails of quirky, pretty items of clothing from eras gone by. With a touch of homeware thrown in for good measure, this is a brilliant place to find some one-of-a-kind women’s clothing.

Whistles

Park, Store
With stores all over the UK, you may have heard of contemporary women’s brand Whistles, but its Park Street boutique store in Bristol makes the brand seem more like an independent than a chain. Located on one of the most bustling streets in the city, the store has a range of beautiful items displayed in a clean, bright interior, making the shopping experience a great one.
