It’s safe to say that Bristol is well-known for its vibrant culture, with nightlife playing a big part in the making of its reputation. If you’re looking for a night out that’s a little different from the norm, then you’ve come to the right city. We’ve chosen our top six places to go to experience a quirky night out in the South West city.

1. Thekla

Music Venue

What makes this live music venue and club different from the others, you ask? Simple. Thekla is an actual boat, floating on the harbourside. With a number of different nights on offer here, you’re guaranteed to have a whale of a time.

2. Bump

3. The Milk Thistle

Bar

Hidden in the city centre, this is a speakeasy that possesses all the old-school charm that you could want. Accessed by knocking on the unsigned door, part of the fun of the night is hoping you gain access (depending on how busy the bar is and how big your group is). Upon entry, you’ll be greeted by charming staff and can enjoy a extremely well made cocktail, while soaking up the quirky décor.

With weekly comedy and magic shows, along with an array of food and drink being served up, this will make for a fun night with a group of friends or your partner.

There are a number of different game themes to choose from, including a pretty scary looking poltergeist room.
