Pharrell Williams Gives Wimbledon Style the Ultimate Update

Wimbledon may have finished, but we’re already looking forward to next year thanks to a new collaboration between Pharrell Williams and Adidas. The new tennis collection offers a Williams-esque twist on classic silhouettes, marrying Adidas’s advance technology with bright, eye-catching design.

Inspired by tennis stars of the 1970s, Pharrell Williams has worked to create the ultimate wardrobe for aspiring players on and off the court. The collection includes cable knit sweaters complete with bold red and blue stripes, covetable zip up jackets, performance enhancing trainers and lightweight, sculptural sports bras in block colour design.

Accessories feature heavily in the collection, signalling the importance of detail for Pharrell and for players; as with the game, it takes one unexpected detail to trump everything else.

Other highlights include soft suede tennis bags, cable knit tennis dresses and three-panel shorts. The campaign also features tennis athletes, including Sascha Zverev and current Wimbledon champion Garbiñe Muguruza, adding to the energetic appeal of the collection.

As with the Adidas x Stella McCartney collections, this new line transcends the boundaries of sportswear in the best of ways. While fusing technology such as Climacool and the advanced design for which Adidas is famed, the collection draws on this season’s trend for bold, bright colour and slick, sharp tailoring. In short, all the inspiration you needed to take your stylish tennis game onto the court.
