Don’t forget the suncream!

Taking its name from RMS Carpathia, the Titanic rescue ship, Carpathia Champagne Bar is perfect for those looking to treat their loved ones. HUS

Way more than just a rooftop bar, HUS is somewhat of a creative hub. A straightforward concept, ‘Hus’ translated from Swedish means ‘house’, which is quite handy because you feel right at home here. Secret bars in Liverpool

Dirty Little Secret

Bar, Contemporary
Teasing their opening earlier in 2018 by leaving 200 keys around the city – one of which enabling its finder to free drinks for life – Dirty Little Secret is rather unusual. This intimate cocktail lounge takes classic drinks like the strawberry daiquiri and puts their own twists on them, such as using Ribena instead. We won’t give away too much, but if you leave all of your preconceptions at the door, you’ll love what’s inside.

Ex-Directory

Bar, Cocktail Bar, Contemporary
One of the most secret bars in the northwest, Ex-Directory really makes you work to find them. Once you’ve discovered the cryptic clues off their Twitter, found the red phone box, and got your hands on their secret phone number, you’ll enter a cocktail bar like no other. Expect the most unique drinks from Ex-Directory’s mixologists in Liverpool’s most elusive bar. Shhhh! Ex-Directory is due to re-open in July 2018.

81LTD

Bar, Cocktail Bar, Contemporary
Located in Liverpool’s party district Seel Street, 81Ltd is somewhat of a chilled retreat from the clubs that surround it. Planning to visit this chic cocktail bar? It’s by appointment only, so on the same day, you’ll need to text the phone number found on their website with your party size and await the response with a code you’ll need to punch in at the entrance. Friendly faces and an impressive cocktail list await your efforts.

Berry & Rye

Cocktail Bar, Bar, Pub Grub, $
Pay attention, or you’ll miss it! Berry & Rye is a confidential speakeasy bar that lies behind a plain black door on Berry Street. As with all secret bars, there are quirks; here, you’ll have to look a little harder than usual for the drinks menu, which can be found within the pages of the books on its shelves. Berry & Rye is the perfect post-work hangout; its craft cocktails perfectly complement the chilled blues playlist.
