Thin-crust pizza with different toppings, made exclusively from natural products is a must-try. In the evening, you can listen to live music here. The pub’s modern ambience breathes new life into the traditional venues of Uzhhorod. Not by accident, it is named after the Irish economist Edmund Egan, who was sent to Transcarpathia by the Austro-Hungarian government to enact reforms here in the late 19th century.

6. Tsypa Taphouse

Bar, Gastropub, Pub, European

One of this bar’s highlights is that guests can observe the brewing process through the transparent glass wall. The beer brewed on the German Braumeister equipment is made from high-quality malt, hops and yeast. Also, the choice of beer changes in Tsypa from time to time, as local brewers are always in search of new flavours and aromas. Therefore, the bar is an incarnation of the century-old experience of the Carpathian traditions combined with contemporary technologies. What makes Tsypa different from other breweries is that its beer is brewed from water from the local highland sources and is not subject to any special treatment.

7. Korzo 10

Pub, European, Italian

The multi-tap craft pub Korzo 10 is a loud place with good beer and affordable prices. There is a main room and a small but cosy terrace. The food served is local cuisine, with items such as traditional Ukrainian borscht and broth with noodles cooked according to a Transcarpathian recipe. Dishes on the grill, Italian pizza, as well as unusual beer snacks like sucuk (dry sausages), basturma (air-dried cured beef) and spicy sausages are also worth special attention. Located on Uzhhorod’s main street, Korzo 10 gladly greets tourists tired from a busy day.

8. Ungweiser

Ungweiser is a restaurant-brewery that offers craft beer of its own production. Beer aficionados will be happy to see the four basic beer kinds on the menu: light, wheat, crimson and dark. In addition, Ungweiser keeps up with the local market and often presents experimental or seasonal drinks. It is also a great venue to taste Italian and American pizza, which perfectly complements the flavours of the various beers.
