Delicious cocktails, draft beer from local breweries, loud parties and a good atmosphere can be found in the bars of Chernihiv. Therefore, be sure to visit the spots from the list below – we promise that you’ll be delighted with tasty drinks, attractive interiors and quality homemade dishes and snacks.
Orange Bar is definitely a place for a wild party with dance music, lots of alcohol, hookah smoking and a crazy atmosphere. Open until 4am during the week and until 8am on the weekend, here you can drink, hang out, have dinner and even breakfast. The food menu offers an assortment of European dishes, with an emphasis on beer snacks. Their thin-crust pizza is a must-try. The drinks menu consists of signature cocktails and a wide selection of beers. Also, Orange Bar often holds themed parties, DJ performances and dance nights.
Rusty Amber is one of the locals’ favourite late-night venues. Here, you are offered the best beers, alongside a rich selection of whiskies and cocktails. The cuisine is represented by American, British and Asian dishes, so you can find something to your taste: grilled meat, burgers, house-made sausages, beer snacks, classic sides and mouthwatering desserts. The interior deserves special attention, as it is decorated in the best traditions of American and British pubs: wooden tables and leather furniture and large screens hanging on the walls so you can watch sporting events live.
Buddka is a venue where you can also get the local Bierwelle on draft. There are several varieties of it, including light, wheat, honey and stout. On the menu, there’s a fair choice of unusual snacks like chebureki (a deep-fried turnover with minced meat and onions), pig’s ear, grilled and dried fish, caviar, Nuremberg sausages and much more. The bar also has a shop, so you can get some bottled beer for takeaway. Located on the way out of the city, Buddka can be reached by car or taxi.
Zivot a Pivo is a perfect spot for a great feast shared with a large group of friends. At the pub, you’ll get acquainted with the modern interpretation of German and Czech traditions and cuisine. The chef prepares a variety of salads, meat dishes, sides and homemade sauces. Moreover, the cooking process can be observed in the open kitchen. The bar menu also has a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, and beer of its own production.
Robata BIER is located in the very heart of Chernihiv. It serves German, Italian and American cuisine with hearty burgers, delicious pizza and juicy meat snacks on the menu. The venue also offers beer from the local brand Bierwelle and has a branded shop with your favourite beer varieties. There are also cocktails and pure alcohol shots on the menu. The interior is designed like a traditional pub that has one dining room and a cosy summer terrace.
Pub Cash is a really cosy place with a pleasant atmosphere, a large choice of food and an excellent bar menu. Its interior recreates the atmosphere of a classic European bar with massive dark furniture, a wooden bar counter and a concert stage. Thus, on Fridays and Saturdays, you can catch some live music or enjoy a themed party at Pub Cash. The food menu includes European and Ukrainian cuisine, with sausages and burgers as speciality dishes. An added bonus: prices here are surprisingly affordable.
Hryak is not only a restaurant and a bar in Chernihiv, but also a popular attraction among locals. The venue occupies an old wooden mansion and resembles a summer cottage in a rural Ukrainian village. Here, you’ll be offered American and European cuisine with a huge assortment of meat dishes, prepared on the grill or in a Josper (a combination of a grill and an oven). Having a spacious main room, you can choose to sit at a table, at the bar or in the outdoor area.
