Shade Meat&Wine is a pearl of Poltava. It specializes in meat dishes from Italian, French and American cuisines, as well as a variety of exquisite wines. The signature dish is, of course, steak, which is served almost without any seasoning in order to put the true flavour of the meat front and centre. Sometimes, Shade Meat&Wine holds themed events and live music concerts, which only serve to add to the chic atmosphere of the restaurant. If you want further proof of its credentials, another venue from the chain called Shade Burger was recognized as one of the top restaurants at the 2017 Restaurant and Design Awards in London.

In terms of food, Lileya offers traditional Ukrainian cuisine, such as borscht; however, the menu mainly consists of European cuisine.

There are American dishes, including good steaks and burgers, cooked from fresh and natural ingredients with exciting twists, such as their burgers in classic, black, or even pink buns. In the mornings, head here for late breakfast and brunch, offered from 11am. Meat Wood has also a cosy summer terrace.

The traditional venue serves all the local specialities, from salo (fatty pork) dishes to the beloved syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes) with smetana (sour cream). But most importantly, in Kozachka you can try the delicacy Poltava is known for. Halushka or galushka is a kind of dumpling that is cooked as a main course.

Mimino is a restaurant located in the hotel complex of the same name. It is a great Georgian food venue, located not far from the city centre of Poltava. With its large space and outdoor terrace, Mimino is a family-friendly restaurant with a homely atmosphere. In the evenings, there is often live music.

Pasteria is a family restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine. They have a wide choice of main dishes and desserts, as well as a large wine list. Risotto, consommé, bruschetta and pizza — all these and more are available here. The signature dish is homemade pasta made from hard varieties of Italian flour. Pasteria is also an amazing spot to celebrate a birthday and participate in a cooking workshop, presided over by the chef.
