When it comes to design, Amsterdam might be the most versatile and stylish city in Europe. It is no wonder then, that the city features several wonderful design hotels that are perfectly suited for aesthetically conscious travelers. Here’s where to stay if you are looking for a hotel with something extra whilst in Amsterdam.

Sir Adam

Sir Adam is part of Amsterdam’s newest landmark, A’DAm Toren, and is situated on the middle eight floors of this magnificent tower. Due to Sir Adam’s location, each of the hotel’s 108 luxurious suites offers amazing views across central and northern Amsterdam. Apart from its high-class service and wonderfully curated rooms, Sir Adam also features a modern gym, beer garden, and burger restaurant. Several leading cultural venues are literally on the hotel’s doorstep, including the EYE Film Institute and a new nightclub called Shelter.

The Albus

The Albus is an extremely modern design hotel that is located in the heart of Amsterdam’s historic canal belt. Many of the city’s main attractions are within walking distance of the hotel – including Dam Square, Anne Frank House, and Museumplein – making the Albus the perfect spot for keen sightseers. The hotel’s restaurant is among the finest in Amsterdam and offers an innovative dining experience.

Hotel Not Hotel

Before opening its doors, the minds behind Hotel Not Hotel commissioned a group of artists to design each of their suites’ interiors. This means that each of the hotel’s rooms possesses a singular aesthetic and is a work of art in its own right. The entire hotel resembles a modern exhibition space and contains numerous artworks and design products. Food at Hotel Not Hotel is served up at Kevin Bacon Bar – a trendy Thai kitchen that moonlights as a cocktail lounge and cosy hangout.
