Where you stay can make all the difference during a trip, and some experiences are definitely more rewarding than others. Nestled in the northern town of Harads, Treehotel is a small yet beautiful hotel with rooms that are different from anything you have previously experienced.

Enjoying nature in unconventional rooms

There are seven different rooms to choose from at Treehotel: the Mirrorcube, Bird’s Nest, the Cabin, the UFO, the Dragonfly, the Blue Cone, and 7th Room. The rooms at Treehotel vary in price, size, shape and theme but all have the classic Scandinavian minimalist design. However, each room tells its own story.

A perfect, little cabin to stay in!

When seeing them for the first time, these stand-alone rooms almost appear to be more of an art installation than a place to stay. However, with stairs, ladders, bridges or ramps leading up to the doors, you quickly notice that there is more than what meets the eye. Mirrorcube looks exactly as it sounds as the exterior of the room is made up of mirrors that reflect its surroundings. Bird’s Nest is indeed a fabulous, humongous birds nest and the UFO really looks like a UFO that just touched down from outer space.

Are you obsessed with space? Then spend the night in this awesome UFO.

Meanwhile, 7th Room features a ‘patio’ that is entirely made up of netting allowing you to lay down and enjoy the serenity of your surroundings. The Cabin has a rooftop terrace perfect for enjoying summer nights, while the Dragonfly is the largest room with enough space for a small conference, and the Blue Cone is a modern take on the classic Scandinavian cabin. No matter your style or size there is a room that fits your needs.

For all of these rooms the price of staying includes a breakfast buffet as well as the amenities found in separate buildings on the property. Some of the amenities to look forward to are the saunas, a 1930-50s inspired restaurant and a bar that serves three meals a day. Additionally, there are a variety of activities that Treehotel offers its guests. For example, you can receive a guided tour of how Treehotel first began or take a full-day guided hike through Korgen Nature Reserve or perhaps attend a Moose Safari!

Ever wanted to sleep in a bird’s nest? Now here’s your chance!
