Another brunch spot sporting a loyal following is Pom & Flora; it’s an absolute must-visit in the Stockholm brunch scene. Also popular among bloggers, this cafe serves an extremely popular weekend brunch where you can get three kinds of breads, scones, cheese, hams, eggs, marmalades, Greek yoghurt, nuts, fruits and freshly pressed juices – all for a fair price. Perhaps the place on this list with the best location, Gamla Orangeriet, as the Swedish name suggests, was established in an old greenhouse, in the middle of the Bergius Botanical Gardens. Serving fresh pastries, bread, coffee, and dishes that are seasonally adapted, this venue is perfect for a light, late breakfast or early lunch. With the focus on local and organic produce, this restaurant, placed idyllically in the old orangery with outdoor seating in the middle of the garden, makes for an extremely Instagram-friendly brunch. And it’s only a mere five minutes away from the city center.

Urban Deli

Urban Deli serves delicious, decadent breakfast foods every single day of the week, with a wide variety of bread, selections of spreads, fresh berries and coffee. Describing themselves as a mixture of a restaurant, grocery store and deli, the establishment has proved itself a valuable stop on your way through Södermalm on an early morning. With outdoor seating, a takeaway option and a catering service, this small deli, open since 2009, makes sure there is ample opportunity to enjoy their food wherever you are.

Focusing their efforts on the baked goods, Bakverket presents a selection of breads and buns that will not disappoint. This place is extremely popular among the locals, with a large number of locals getting their first cup of coffee served with a freshly baked bun. Bakverket has been awarded with the Golden Dragon for excellence by the newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, and was also given a special mention as Stockholm’s best breakfast. Modeled off its namesake, Café Riches, on the Boulevard des Italiens in Paris, it naturally reflects French influence. Riche serves a decadent breakfast in one of Stockholm’s more affluent areas. From bookmaker toasts and eggs Benedict, anything from a quick bite to a draw out affair, Riche offers a quiet meal in refined surroundings, sure to start your day off well. Yet another homage to the international influences coloring the streets of Stockholm, Mississippi Inn brings Southern Comfort food to the Swedish capital.
