Home to famous fashion boulevards such as the Passeig de Gràcia and Rambla de Catalunya, L’Eixample is considered one of Barcelona’s best neighbourhoods to shop in. From designer labels to top high-street brands, these are some of the best places to shop for men’s clothes in L’Eixample.

The Outpost

Shop

Located just north of Avenida Diagonal on the border with Gràcia, The Outpost is an independent men’s clothing and accessory boutique. The store stocks a number of different brands and individually selected pieces which range in style from sophisticated suits to statement pieces by brands such as Issey Miyake and Tomas Maier. The store managers are always happy to help and offer personalised shopping advice to those in need.

Scotch & Soda

They may be based in Amsterdam, but Scotch & Soda draw their inspiration from far and wide with exotic prints, original cuts and small details that make all the difference. Ranging from urban-chic to laid-back outdoor wear, their clothes always have a certain something about them which makes them look young, fresh and playful. With over 150 stores worldwide Scotch & Soda is practically a high street name, and yet there’s nothing about their clothes or their stores which feels standard.

Wer-Haus

Shop

If you’re the kind of person who dreads the thought of huge clothes stores with row upon row of pieces to choose from, Wer-Haus is a breath of fresh air. A clothes store but also an art gallery and a bookstore, this 400m2 concept store even has its own speciality coffee corner. On the rails and on their online store you’ll find pieces by top designers ranging from the likes of Enfants Riches Déprimés – whose founder described it as ‘elitist, nihilist couture’ – and Heron Preston, to slightly more accessible labels such as Misbhv and Not Safe For Work.

Med Winds

This Barcelona brand started out in 2011, inspired by the Mediterranean and the Catalan capital itself. The men’s range includes both casual and slightly more dressy pieces, but always with that certain Mediterranean laid-back feel. Cotton shirts and linen suits in pastel hues but also playful t-shirts with geometric prints and checked shirts with a slightly hipster edge are just some of the pieces you can expect to find. Med Winds also sells men’s shoes, including leather boots and natural fibre espadrilles, as well as accessories such as leather satchels and rucksacks.

COS

Shop

A Swedish brand owned by the H&M group, COS offers modern, minimalist fashion which pays no heed to the latest trends. Instead you’ll find timeless, made-to-last clothing which strikes the right balance between easy-to-wear and stylish. Block colours, original cuts and geometrical patterns are just some of the details that make COS’s clothes so fun to wear.

Looking for a pair of cheekily see-through shorts? A floral patterned bomber jacket? ES Collection is a 100% Barcelona brand, designed and made in the Catalan capital, offering bold, playful pieces that are sure to make an impact. The store also specialises in innovative swimwear which uses technology such as the ‘push-up’ and ‘pack-up’ technologies – not too dissimilar to what you find in a push-up bra – for increased comfort and good looks. They also have a collection of comfortable but stylish casual wear and athletic wear designed to look good and feel good.

Furest

Shop

Founded in 1898, Furest is a family-run business which has specialised in men’s clothing for over 110 years. The first shop was located on the Plaça Reial, but the business relocated to the Passeig de Gràcia in 1917. Alongside their own brand of clothing, Furest stock a number of other top quality labels such as Kenzo, Diesel and Replay, as well as other designers labels such as Manuel Ritz and Jacob Cöhen. This is a great place to shop for more classic pieces or good quality every day wear such as trousers, shirts and jumpers, though if you’re after something a bit smarter you can also order made-to-measure suits.
