Benidorm is a seaside resort famed for its nightlife and popularity among holidaymakers. Located along Valencia’s Costa Blanca, this infamous holiday resort has grown from a sleepy fishing village into one of the top vacation destinations in the Mediterranean. The town offers plenty of entertainment options, from waterparks and beaches to golf courses and animal parks, whether you’re here with your partner, friends, or family.

Splash Around At A Waterpark

In the height of summer along the Costa Blanca, there’s nothing like keeping cool at some of the area’s best water parks. Benidorm is home to two — Aqualandia and Aqua Natura, which offer a range of slides, chutes, wave pools, and lazy rivers.

Relax On The Beach

Benidorm is home to two beaches located at either end of town. Poniente Beach is situated just south of town, while Levante Beach can be found to the north. Poniente is characterized by a huge golden sand crescent, lined by a promenade filled with many cafés, shops, and restaurants. It has a laid-back feel and is popular with families. Levante Beach meanwhile is more lively, fringed by bars and offering more facilities such as rafts, slides, and diving boards just off shore. It also offers water sports, including jet-skis, paragliding, and water skiing.

Stroll Around The Old Town

Benidorm’s busy historic quarter is filled with quaint architecture, narrow winding cobbled streets, and atmospheric plazas, and it’s worth it to leave the beach and the theme parks for a while to explore it. Its three most picturesque plazas are Santa Ana, Castelar, and Castell, all of which offer stunning views over the town and its beaches.

Get Up Close And Personal With Animals

Families with kids and animal lovers will enjoy a day out at one of Benidorm’s two animal attractions — Terra Natura and Mundomar. Mundomar focuses on marine life and exotic birds, and provides entertainment such as dolphin, sea lion, and parrot shows, as well as a giant aquarium. Terra Natura, on the other hand, offers a more natural safari-like experience with no visible barriers or cages. There are also rides to enjoy, such as a zip line over the elephants.
