While the Basque Country may not be immediately associated with fashion, with most well-known Spanish fashion bloggers and designers hailing from Madrid and Barcelona, new talents are emerging from this corner of the country to bring Basque style into the foreground. Here are seven fashion bloggers from the Basque Country you should follow.

Izortze Setién – Clochet

One of the most influential fashion bloggers in the whole of Spain, Izortze Setién runs the blog Clochet, dedicated to the latest fashion trends from around the world. Izortze has worked with top clothing brands from Mango through to H&M and Billabong, and maintains her own casual, comfortable and minimalistic style. Since the birth of Izortze’s son in 2016, Clochet has also become a maternity and parenting blog.

Ane Hernando – Look and Chic

Ane Hernando is the founder of lookandchic.com – a fashion and lifestyle site, where she blogs about the latest looks, her travels and what’s new in the world of la moda. Ane was born in the Vizcáya region of the Basque Country and currently spends her time living between Bilbao, Pamplona and Madrid. She has a degree in Personal Shopping and Image Advertising, and her looks comprise mainly of ripped or skinny jeans, paired with a smart jacket, coat or blouse.

Belén Canalejo – B* a la Moda

Belén Canalejo is an influential fashion blogger and founder of B* a la Moda – 60% fashion tips and trends, and 40% lifestyle, which includes lots of DIY crafts. She hails from the Navarra region of Spain, just east of the Basque Country – an area which shares many traditions and language with its Basque brothers. In 2015, Belén published her own fashion book, and also has her own online fashion store. She has four children, who play a big part in her life and her blog.

Estíbaliz Prieto

Estíbaliz Prieto is from the city of Bilbao and is more a fashion influencer than a blogger, as she posts only on Instagram and other social media sites. She is a fan of high street stores Mango and Zara and works with fashion brands to promote their styles through social media. You can guarantee her latest pics will be on trend.

Itsasne Miren – Shiny Happy Things

Itsasne Miren is the creator of the blog Shiny Happy Things, dedicated to everything she loves – fashion, beauty, food, travel and art. A fashion stylist, image consultant, PR and communications expert by profession, she loves writing fashion advice posts, as well as taking lots of photos. Even though she was actually born in France, Itsasne grew up in the Basque capital of Vitoria-Gasteiz and currently lives between there, Madrid and Alicante.

Edurne Alba – Rebel Attitude

Basque fashion blogger Edurne lives in the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz and is the brains behind Rebel Attitude. Full of short posts and many photos, her blog looks like a fashion shoot of all the latest looks. Prominent on social media, her style is effortless and elegant, and her favourite designer is Isabel Marant. With a background in advertising, Edurne also has a link on a her blog to purchase all her looks.

Inés Algorta – Fashion in Donosti

Inés Algorta is the creator of Fashion in Donosti, a fashion blog all about the styles of the Basque city of San Sebastián. Her blog explores her passions including fashion and photography, as well as the love of her city. Inés posts about her daily looks and inspirations, as well as her appreciation of vintage clothing, and how she adapts pieces from the wardrobes of her mother, aunt and grandmother.
