Built in 1880 and named after the year in which Spain lost the last two outposts of its empire, Cuba and the Philippines, this is the only hotel on La Rambla with a thermal water circuit and indoor pool (the luxury spa occupies the building’s former coal cellars). La Isabela roof terrace is one of the most romantic spots in the city at sunset, offering highly photogenic views, innovative cocktails, tapas and chilled music.
