Flamingos Vintage Kilo

Flamingo Market Store

This is one of the most famous vintage stores in Barcelona, located just a few meters off La Rambla. The store’s originality lies in the fact that you can purchase clothes by weight, not by piece, with prices varying according to the type of garment you’re buying. Flamingos Vintage Kilo specialises in American-style fashion, with plenty of bold patterned shirts, cut-offs and oversized jackets to choose from.

Holala!

This is probably the largest vintage store in Barcelona and its location just by the university makes it the semi-official supplier of the city’s student population. Holala! has a wide selection of items covering pretty much every decade from the 1950s onwards, with lots of vintage staples such as denim cut-offs, floral patterned skirts and shirts, but it also has lots of accessories including shoes, bags and glasses for both men and women.

Club 80s

Just as it says on the box, Club 80s is a vintage clothes store entirely dedicated to the love-it-or-hate-it fashion decade that was the 80s. There are shoulder pads, parachute pants and leather jackets, stonewashed jeans and lots of bold colours. If you’re looking for something specific from the era, this is the best place to check, and the staff are generally good at helping you find what you’re after.

La Principal

La Principal is a boutique retro store that stocks a wide range of brands such as Nike, Reebok and Adidas as well as denim and accessories. The store is particularly interesting if you’re looking for men’s clothing, as it tends to have a large selection of shirts and sweatshirts to choose from. There’s also an online store which is updated regularly and offers delivery across Europe.

La Font

This tiny boutique sell original vintage clothing as well as retro-inspired modern fashions and new accessories such as sunglasses, bags and jewellery. It stocks European brands such as Anerkjendt, Re-Kanken and Hymn, always preferring to work with independent labels and smaller producers where possible. Halfway between a vintage shop and a concept store, La Font – which gets its name form the small water pump that sits outside it – is a real treasure trove.

Soul

If you’re a fan of alternative retro fashion, Soul has the potential to become your new favourite spot in the Raval. They specialise in everything from steampunk to pin-up, Gothic to Rockabilly, and stock popular brands such as Hell Bunny, Merc, Killstar and Iron Fist. With helpful staff and a wide range of clothes and accessories, this is one of the best places to find alternative fashions in Barcelona.
