Rebel Root
Founded in 2012 by the Catalan Eva Riu who had previously attended Central St Martins in London, Rebel Root is an ethical fashion brand for men and women. Each garment is Fair Trade-guaranteed and the brand helps promote and protect traditional methods of production. Don’t try looking for Rebel Root on the high-street though – it’s currently an exclusively online store.

This young Spaniard has made a name for himself as a skilled tailor, specialising in men’s suits and accessories. Oscar H. Grand works from an old workshop located in the backstreets of El Born, surrounded by fellow artisans and artists. His collection includes not only suits but also more casual, modern clothing such as overalls, shirts and jackets.

Ailanto
Born in Bilbao, brothers Iñaki and Aitor Muñoz moved to Barcelona to study fashion before setting up their Ailanto brand in the late nineties. Since then, their women’s wear has been shown at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Madrid and the brand has opened two stores: one in Barcelona and one in Madrid.
