Leaning into a communist-era aesthetic to create a distinctly Serbian sense of cool, New Belgrade offers some of the trendiest hotels in the capital. Here are the best, all bookable on Culture Trip.

Sitting opposite Old Belgrade, the cultural heart of the Serbian capital, New Belgrade was built on the left bank of the Sava river after World War II. It’s a vibrant business and entertainment district, with communist-era buildings such as those in the Blokovi neighbourhoods, floating riverboat accommodation and restaurants serving traditional Balkan food. The area also offers great connections to the airport and main railway station, while a lively cafe and restaurant scene, in addition to spa and wellness centres on almost every block, make a high-end stay in New Belgrade more feasible than ever.
