A decade ago, New Holland Island was a sad sight to behold with its infrastructure in disrepair and neglect; however, since the renovation project started, the island has really managed to become the center of cultural life in the city. Now, it has also started to grab the attention of St Petersburg’s foodies as a great dining spot, offering a wide variety of options when it comes to restaurants.

Ferma Burger

Restaurant, Cafe, Fast Food, American, European

Their iconic burger on black bread with aioli sauce is well known in Moscow, where the first Ferma Burger was opened. Now they are residents of “The Bottle” on New Holland Island in St Petersburg, spreading their burger love to the local residents.

Camorra Isola

Restaurant, Cafe, Italian

A great place for all pizza and pasta lovers once you are on New Holland Island, Camorra Isola offers a selection of original pizza recipes, as well as a unique “pizza of the week” option that constantly changes. Their pasta choices are also pretty unique, sometimes combining Italian flavors with local products. The cherry on top is all the great craft beer they serve.

Pho’n’Roll Café

Cafe, Restaurant, Vietnamese

Spring rolls, wok noodles and other dishes drawn from contemporary Vietnamese cuisine – all of this can be found at Pho’n’Roll. The owners and the chef come from Vietnam, so there is no denying the authenticity of the dishes. The design of the place – the creation of artist Ivan Feodoridi – hints at the warm friendship between the USSR and Vietnam.

Bekitzer

Bar, Cafe, Restaurant, Israeli

A new location for the extremely popular Israeli cuisine restaurant and bar, which is great news since those who’ve been to their spot on Rubinshteina Street know that it takes a tremendous amount of luck to get a table there, unless you’ve booked well in advance. On the menu is hummus, falafel, iconic shakshuka, kebab and many other finger-licking choices.

Kuznya House

Bar, Restaurant, European, Russian

Kuznya House club and restaurant was created as a 360° concept: suitable for business meetings, drinks with friends, clubbing and, of course, delicious wine-and-dine time. The design elements were inspired by St Petersburg’s apartments of the early 20th century, creating a special charm at Kyznya House.

San Diego

The team at San Diego are fans of Mexican cuisine. The creation of San Diego was inspired by Mexican restaurants in the US. They use authentic ingredients and recipes, so go there to try salsa habanero, salsa verde, Monterey Jack cheese and guacamole.

Mamo

Cafe, Restaurant, Georgian

If you are not yet a fan of Georgian cuisine – you will be, soon. Mamo introduces all the classic Georgian culinary creations, offering them at pleasant prices. Six different kinds of khinkali, along with pkhali and chanakhi – all these words may sound odd, but believe us, the taste will make you learn these names by heart (or even look up a ticket to Georgia).
