You’re finally in Volgograd and looking for a lunchtime option that won’t hurt your wallet? Feeling a bit hungry but also a little curious about local food? We’ve prepared a list of the best reasonably priced lunch and dinner options that the city has to offer. Our list contains inexpensive, traditional, and nourishing options that will satisfy both your budget and your taste buds.

1. Hampton by Hilton

Hotel

Located right on the ground floor of the Hilton Hotel, Hampton has a menu with a lot to offer. Dishes here are legendary, the cuisine is typical European. Don’t miss the marbled ribs, baked Russian pork, beef tongue, local potatoes, and a salad with garlic and tomatoes. The venue is located in a huge dining room, which makes it very spacious. The prices are ridiculously low for a restaurant of such a level, so don’t miss it. And yes, book in advance.

2. Blin Club

Cafe, Creperie, Restaurant, Russian, Pastries, Dessert

A blin (блин in Russian) is a typical Russian pancake, and if you’re in town you can’t miss this place because of the blini options. If your ideal coffee spot has a combination of tasty local food, a cozy atmosphere, and impeccable service, then Blin Club is the place you’re looking for. This is a very good weekend brunch option as well, and it absolutely won’t put a dent in your wallet.

3. Grand Pizza

Pizzeria, Restaurant, Italian, Fast Food, Russian

This is the place to go if you’re addicted to Italian food. They’re super serious here about their Margherita and 4 Formaggi pizzas, and they know how to cook very well, otherwise this restaurant wouldn’t be Italian. Capisce? All of the pizza toppings are homemade Italian and cooked straight on the stone with olive oil. With a gigantic list of traditional Italian dishes and, of course, mouthwatering salads, they also offer several vegan options. And you’ll be very pleasantly surprised with the total on your check at the end of dinner.

4. Nosorog Café

Cafe, European, Russian, Tea , Pastries, Fast Food

Nosorog is a family-owned modern café with European cuisine right in the heart of Volgograd. Undoubtedly, Nosorog is a café offering guests a warm European greeting, a minimalistic and cozy interior, and modern European courses and cooking traditions. Start your lunch with tuna tartare and move on to the second courses. Pasta and risotto options are also available. The wine list offers an overabundance of choices, but the staff will always be able to give you good advice according to your preferences. The number one place to visit if you’re an Instagram lover and don’t want to spend much, but still dine well.

5. Bulvar Café

Cafe, European, Russian

Searching for a legendary European restaurant on a budget in Volgograd? Look no further, because you can find that at Bulvar Café! Here, you may satisfy your gastronomic cravings and hunger, enjoy a modern atmosphere, and simply pass the time with friends and locals.
